- The New England Integrated Sciences and Assessments (NEISA) is an engaged research program devoted to the development of decision relevant information concerning climate and air quality for the citizens of New England. NEISA is a University of New Hampshire coordinated, multi-institutional and multi-disciplinary integrated assessment focussing on the relationship between climate, air quality, and human health in New England. The Integrated Human Health and Air Quality Assessment (INHALE) is currently the primary focus of the New England Integrated Sciences and Assessments (NEISA).
The main goal of the INHALE project is to improve public health by: Engaging key stakeholders in a collaborative effort to better define the link among climate, air quality, and human health; Determining the health care and other economic costs associated with poor air quality (including biological, chemical, and physical aspects of air quality); Developing and implementing adaptive strategies and creating informed public policy.
