The advanced X-ray detector, SSB/X, consists of two nonscanning sensors, one of which looks to the left and the other to the right of the ground track. Each sensor is a set of CdTe detectors which sense X rays in the three energy bands, >60 keV, >150 keV, and >375 keV.
