- The Natural Resources Information Management Program is a part of the Oregon
Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), and is a participant within the
regional StreamNet Project, a cooperative venture of federal and state agencies
and tribes in the Pacific Northwest. Our Program provides information and
services that are essential for accomplishing ODFW's mission - to protect and
enhance Oregon's fish and wildlife and their habitats for enjoyment by present
and future generations.
Our Program supports the efforts of ODFW by:
-Identifying and prioritizing natural resource information needs for fish and
wildlife management.
-Developing and promoting the use of modern data collection and analysis
techniques.
-Promoting the use of technology that will benefit the department's natural
resource data collection and management needs.
-Developing and providing consistent, accessible, high-quality information.
-Encouraging the synthesis and transfer of scientific information into
management recommendations.
-Developing and promoting a multidisciplinary approach to fish, wildlife, and
habitat management.
The ODFW Program provides GIS data, maps and reports, data standards and
protocols, a monthly feature, unit conversion tools, useful tips for the
field/office/home, information on angling opportunities within Oregon, and
links to other sources of related information.
