- The Miami University department of Geography is the second oldest in the state.
Our graduates, as well as Miami students, benefit immensely from our geography
program as evidenced by their subsequent success in business, government, and
the academic community. The Department of Geography has also awarded more than
200 master's degrees. Miami's geography program includes faculty and courses
covering a wide range of geographic inquiry. The department also has excellent
