The Meteorological Measurement System (MMS) is a proven
instrument to measure accurate, high resolution in situ airborne
state measurements. Accurate measurements of these quantities
require judicious choices of sensor locations, repeated
laboratory calibrations, and proper corrections for
compressibility, adiabatic heating and flow distortion.
