- The Redlands Institute is an applied research group at the University of
Redlands that promotes collaborative, interdisciplinary research to develop
solutions to critical environmental concerns.
The Institute is part of the University's Center for Environmental Studies
which consists of the Redlands Institute, Master of Science in Geographic
Information Systems, and Environmental Undergraduate Programs.
The majority of projects at the institute have focused on environmental
research, but the same technology and methods used can also be applied to other
research disciplines. The institute's staff has substantial experience in
applying the principles and practice of information science and technology to a
wide variety of application projects.
