The Atmospheric Science Program at Cornell University offers courses
of study leading to B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. The program is part
of the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) in the
College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
Atmospheric Science facilities include satellite communication
equipment and ethernet links that provide access to NOAA domestic
data, DIFAX, and Unidata/Wisconsin Data Channel products. Computing
resources include a Unidata/PC-McIDAS system, GEMPAK, MM5, Unix and
Linux workstations, and access to NEXRAD products. The Northeast
Regional Climate Center, housed within the Department, conducts
complementary research in applied climatology and maintains a complete
collection of climatic data for the northeastern U.S.
