- The "Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency" (FFA) is an organization set up to
provide expert fisheries management advice and services to member countries.
In particular to help them manage and develop their living marine resources,
including highly migratory species like the vast tuna stocks of the western and
central Pacific ocean. There are 16 country members and one territory member
from the western and central Pacific region. FFA was formed in 1979 under an
international convention and is based in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
