- The mission of the Kika de la Garza Subtropical Agricultural Research Center is
to increase food and fiber productivity, increase the efficiency of plant
production, and preserve the quality of the product as it is delivered to the
consumer. Food and water safety and water conservation are of paramount
importance in this research program. The Center's work is diverse and is
described in greater detail by mission statements of the individual research
units.
