  • The School of Biological Sciences The School of Biological Sciences emphasizes a strong, collaborative and diverse history of research among its faculty. They are particularly focused in four research areas: physiology, ecology and evolution, systematics and molecular biology, with highly interactive groups of faculty, graduate and undergraduate students and postdoctoral researchers. They view our department as one without walls because our research collaborations extend to other departments and colleges on campus, including: the School of Molecular Biosciences, the Center for Reproductive Biology, the Institute of Biological Chemistry, the College of Agriculture and Home Economics, and the College of Veterinary Medicine. They have strong interactions with nearby University of Idaho, and our faculty collaborate with researchers throughout the US and around the world. They have a strong record of extramural research funding, including current grants from the National Science Foundation, US Department of Agriculture and National Institutes of Health. Please visit our research focus pages or individual faculty web pages for more information on our internationally-recognized research program.
