definition
  • The Fisheries Science Department was founded on April 1, 2000, and it was established in the field of measurement of Resources through Laboratory and satellite resources. Satellite remote sensing is the measurement of resources through ocean observation from space (Remote Sensing), and it also involves remote sensing, underwater exploration, and photo acoustic measurement of fish that combines quantitative and biological sampling. Biological production and environmental biological resources are also a focus through exploring new areas of measurement. In order to study the marine survey, which accounts for two thirds of the earth, in addition to the traditional ship observations, it is essential to observe the broadest array of buoys and satellite observations. Our laboratory has been studying marine fisheries as through means of satellite remote sensing to know the sea. Satellite remote sensing measurements in the field of marine environment is essential to promote education and research principles and methods of application of such measures. Currently, the Faculty is "satellite oceanography", "Fisheries Oceanography", in graduate school, "Measurement of satellite resources," is mainly concerned with education. In fact in June 1996 NOAA HRPT satellite receiving, processing and analysis systems installed TeraScan, and satellite data reception process has started. The system used in October 1997 Orbview-analysis has also launched two satellite data reception and processing centers. Since we started to provide sea surface temperature images on the website every day since October 1998, Faculty of Fisheries, has made available at any time the temperature of the past, and present images. Due to demand for university contributions to society, we are also focusing on providing information useful to society.
