- The Long Island Sound Resource Center was formed under the joint
sponsorship of the Connecticut Department of Natural Resources and the
Marine Science & Technology Center of the University of
Connecticut. The Center has several primary functions:
-Collecting, cataloguing and archiving the "grey" literature
concerning Long Island Sound
-Geographic Information System (GIS) Services
-Long Island Sound Habitat Mapping and Characterization
