- Since 1987 the SCC Planetarium has provided the Central Florida community with a window to the stars and beyond. Part of SCC's Physical Science Department, the SCC Planetarium serves Seminole Community College students, as well as other students from universities and colleges throughout Central Florida; K-12 public and private schools; homeschoolers; scouts and Indian guides; and the general public. The SCC Planetarium is also home to one of the largest astronomical societies in the Southeast.
