    Loons (North America) or divers (United Kingdom / Ireland) are a group of aquatic birds found in much of North America and northern Eurasia. All living species of loons are members of the genus Gavia, family Gaviidae and order Gaviiformes /ˈɡævi.ɪfɔːrmiːz/.
