- New York Power Authority is a national leader in promoting energy efficiency
and the development of clean energy technologies and electric vehicles. The
Power Authority provides a variety of energy-related services to businesses
and municipalities. Its mission is to provide clean, economical and reliable
energy consistent with our commitment to safety, while promoting energy
efficiency and innovation for the benefit of our customers and all New Yorkers.
The Power Authority serves as a non-profit, public-benefit energy corporation
that does not use any tax revenue or state credit. Projects are funded
through bond sales to private investors, repaying bondholders with proceeds
from operations.
