The Los Alamos National Laboratory Energetic Particle Team
operates a set of energetic particle detectors on geostationary
satellites and on the GPS satellites. NIS-2 designs, and builds
these detectors. Scientifically these data are used for the
study of the energetic particle transport and dynamics in the
inner magnetosphere of the Earth.
