- SEAWEEDAFRICA is a major EU funded, Fifth Framework Project being coordinated
from the AlgaeBase Centre in the Martin Ryan Institure, National University of
Ireland, Galway. The project will bring together leading marine scientists from
nine countries spread throughout Europe, Africa and South America. Over the
next three years ecological, commercial and technological information on
seaweeds and their uses internationally will be added to AlgaeBase and made
available via the Internet
