The mission of the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography
Center is to To combine innovative technology with the best
available science in order to provide the best weather and
oceanographic products, data and services to the operating and
support forces of the DoD anywhere, anytime. The center will
remain world leaders in operational METOC numerical analysis and
prediction, associated computer technology, and related product
distribution and services. We will serve an diverse customer
base by providing increasingly accurate, customer-defined,
full-spectrum METOC products and data, at the best resolution
achievable, from the edge of space to the bottom of the sea.
