    岩石力学(がんせきりきがく)は、岩石(岩盤)の力学的性質とその応用、またはその変形や破壊に関する学問。土木関係においては「岩盤力学」と呼ばれるが、この場合は「地盤工学(Geotechnics)」とも呼ばれる。土壌を対象とする場合に土質力学(Soil mechanics)と呼ばれ、岩石を対象とする場合に岩石力学と呼ぶ。
