Industrialization

  • Industrialization
definition
  • Industrialization can refer to a major shift in manufacturing, from small-scale production by hand to large-scale production by machine. Industrialization is made possible by new technologies, but also by an abundant supply of fuel, such as coal. Industrialization makes manufacturing more energy-intensive and much less labor intensive. Industrialization leads to the mass production of products, which means that more goods are available to more people.
